'Stop locking your cars after 8pm': Top Karens of the Week (August 25, 2023)

For this week's edition of the top five Karen stories, we're bringing you lots of neighborhood drama and cruel customers. Thankfully, for many of these Reddit stories, the folks who were at the receiving end of all this nonsense were not afraid to clap back.

 

Here's a little preview of what we're dealing with here: (1) we've got an entitled neighbor who doesn't like the noise from people locking their cars at night, (2) there's the Karen with a meat allergy who surprisingly took issue with a BBQ restaurant, (3) a Kevin who doesn't like to see employees laughing while they're on break, (4) a customer who left a bad online review after belittling the all-female staff (and the iconically savage response from the owner), and (5) a collection of three Karens who seem to enjoy providing nonstop neighborhood drama.

    Font - Car beeps need to stop or I'm calling the cops 3:28 Stop locking your cars after 8 pm. Some of us have small children and would appreciate it if you'd lock your car WITHOUT the beep beep noise before 8pm. If it's not an option then an at least disarm the beep beep noise from under your hood. I've heard from numerous neighbors myself included, it's unwanted and unneeded. Once you have parked your car, lock it, and be done. It's not an all night routine unless your coming to my home to put

    Font - The latest review of the small town BBQ restaurant I work at 3 days ago To those of us that have meat allergies, they are terrible and poisonous, smoking their meat outside in the parking lot where us poor folk with allergies and no a/c are forced to breathe it...     Font - Our meat smokers are outside the building (they are not in the parking area, they are beside it). Besides the obvious delusion that the world should cater to you, I don't understand why anyone would come to a BBQ restaurant being severely sensitive to meat & meat "fumes" in the first place lol

It's not like she mentioned an allergy and then was served a dish with said ingredient in it. She knew of her allergy and went to a place that caters to a type of food that predominantly contains her allergen.     Font - This is big news in my little town, this restaurant is one of the nicer ones. Apparently this customer was yelling at the waitresses because he thought the beer he ordered wasn't a full 16oz. He refused to pay and things got heated.

    Font - Need help for Karen revenge! We have a cottage in a great little beach community in Michigan and everyone is so fun and cool... except these 3 Karen's. They feel entitled to squawk and make trouble constantly. Just since we've been there the last 5 years they: 1. Cut down a neighbor's tree when the neighbor was out of town forcing the neighbor to wrap signs around their remaining tree to prevent unlawful cut down.

    Font - 2. Sued our association to remove a brand new park quality swing set. It replaced a nasty old wood set that had been there 20 years. The lawsuit has almost bankrupted the HOA and we've all had to put in more money. I've paid $450 personally 3.     Font - 4. Got the local utility to install super bright LEDs all over the park to "prevent crime". It's like being in a parking lot and ruins the park and beach at night.     Font - 6. Killed a tree planted in memory of a long time resident who passed away. Three times we have replaced the tree and we have to keep a monitor on it to check if it's getting poisoned And they had the audacity to let their grandkids play on the swings even after they cost us all that money to defend it!
